The dust stirs at a decrepit motel that invites an array of odd and troubled characters. Peeking behind doors normally closed, discover the secrets of another world. Hour by hour characters check in and their dramas unfold in the dark corner of out of the way rooms. On this day, visiting for a short time each, are the illicit lovers struggling with their affair, the cops on a stakeout, a mother and her kids searching for a new start, the out of town businessman and hooker, the addict looking for a fix, the prison escapee and his hostage, the drug deal, a desperate man looking for a way out, and the attendees of a bachelor party. Woven together over the course of one day, with a common thread connecting them, it’s a voyeuristic journey that exposes their strengths and faults and their ultimate quest that lies somewhere between redemption and damnation. |
